About The Team

Job Summary:**
JD.com is seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of hazardous goods storage, handling, and distribution within our logistics network. This role ensures compliance with all relevant safety regulations and optimizes operational efficiency for dangerous materials.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Manage the safe and efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of hazardous goods in accordance with national and international regulations (e.g., ADR, IATA, IMDG, local safety laws).
- Develop, implement, and enforce robust safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans for hazardous materials.
- Ensure all warehouse staff handling hazardous goods receive appropriate training, certification, and ongoing refresher courses.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for hazardous goods, ensuring proper segregation, labeling, and documentation.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of specialized equipment used for hazardous goods handling and storage.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, safety officers, and internal stakeholders to ensure continuous compliance and best practices.
- Manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing leadership, performance management, and development opportunities.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency for hazardous goods.
- Investigate and report all incidents, accidents, or near misses involving hazardous materials, implementing corrective actions.
- Stay updated on changes in hazardous goods regulations and industry best practices.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 3 years specifically managing hazardous goods.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of national and international hazardous goods regulations (e.g., GHS, DOT, OSHA, IATA DGR, IMDG Code).
- Relevant certifications in hazardous materials handling, safety management, or dangerous goods transportation (e.g., DGSA, HazMat Responder).
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in training and motivating staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies.
