VeraContent is a multilingual content agency specialized in creating and localizing content for global brands. We offer content creation, marketing translation, global social media and design services to companies operating worldwide, with a focus on European markets. As part of our evolution, we’re increasingly working on content strategy and consulting projects, helping clients not only produce content but shape the strategic direction behind it.
As a Project Manager at VeraContent, you will be the day-to-day point of contact for several of our ongoing client projects, and a strategic partner who helps shape the direction of their content, not just execute against a brief. A Project Manager is fully responsible for making sure those projects meet client expectations, deadlines and budgets, while also contributing ideas that strengthen the client’s overall content strategy. This role reports to the Head of Project Management, who leads the project management team.
- Build positive client relationships by proactively understanding clients’ needs and anticipating how their content strategy could evolve.
- Partnering with clients on the “why” behind their content, not just the “how,” bringing recommendations on messaging and content direction rather than only executing what’s requested.
- Managing budgets and setting freelancer rates in order to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Onboarding new projects, assembling the right team, and setting up and maintaining efficient workflows.
- Creating easy-to-understand assignment briefs that accurately reflect client expectations and requirements.
- Providing ongoing training and feedback to freelance and in-house linguists so they continuously improve and adapt to each project’s needs.
- Documenting the details of each project and its status via our internal project management software.
- Keeping all parties involved accountable to meeting deadlines, allocating hours to projects and completing quality checks.
- Participating in initiatives to improve processes and promote knowledge sharing across the department, in coordination with the Head of Project Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a high level of Spanish, in order to communicate with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in content marketing (agency or in-house), ideally including work on content strategy, digital marketing planning or advising clients on direction.
- Great writing style and professional editing ability in at least one of our core languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German or Dutch.
- A strong interest in growing as a Project and People Manager. Previous proven experience in project management is a must.
- A motivated self-starter who is always looking to grow, learn and improve.
- Based in Spain, ideally Madrid or Barcelona.
- Organization: Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Able to maintain a global perspective of all ongoing projects you are responsible for.
- Communication: Able to nurture and develop client relationships in both English and Spanish, and to comfortably discuss strategic direction with clients as well as day-to-day execution details. Able to comfortably liaise with a variety of linguists, while providing clear, coherent instructions for different projects.
- Strategic & critical thinking: Able to look beyond the immediate request to see how a piece of content fits into a client’s broader goals, and to bring recommendations proactively.
- Proactivity: Able to anticipate potential complications or problems, and going above and beyond to make creative suggestions and propose solutions.
- Attention to detail: A stickler for accuracy. Always double-checking work, whether that’s editing, emailing or inputting data into our project management system.
- Curiosity: Taking a genuine interest in every new project or challenge, going the extra mile to fully understand a client’s market and business goals.
- The chance to sharpen your communication, collaborative and problem-solving skills, as you’ll be producing high-quality work within tight deadlines and different workflows, with a range of clients and team members from around the world.
- Flexibility to work from home, from anywhere in or near CET time zone as long as you can attend our quarterly meetings.
- A salary of €25,000–€30,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
- A flexible compensation plan through Cobee, including meal, transportation and childcare benefits.
- Being part of a close-knit, international team and having a direct impact on decision-making.
- 28 days paid vacation, 14 Spanish national holidays (we follow the Madrid calendar) and your birthday off each year.
- Quarterly in-person meetings, including an annual retreat held in a different location each year.
- Budget for purchasing home office equipment, which would belong to you after one year of working with us.
