This role will play a key part in the design and delivery of Sales capabilities within an S/4HANA implementation, working closely with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders and supported by System Integrator (SI) counterparts responsible for configuration and technical delivery.
The role is focused on modern S/4HANA Sales capabilities and best practices, with strong emphasis on process harmonization, order management, billing, pricing, intercompany scenarios, and close interaction with cross-functional partners across the enterprise.
S/4HANA Sales Solution Ownership
- Act as an in-house functional consultant for SAP S/4HANA Sales, coordinating with the Sales Lead, with a focus on Order Management, Billing, Pricing, and intercompany scenarios.
- Own the end-to-end functional design of sales processes within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for the System Integrator.
- Review and approve sales configuration, enhancements, and functional designs.
Cross-Functional Integration & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Master Data management teams to ensure alignment of sales-relevant master data (e.g., business partners, customers, materials, pricing conditions).
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management teams to ensure alignment of order management, availability checks, delivery processing, and billing processes within the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) flow.
- Collaborate with Finance teams where required to ensure integration for billing, revenue posting, and intercompany scenarios (without owning finance processes).
- Ensure end-to-end business process integration across Sales and operational functions.
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the SAP Sales Lead as contact for Sales, Supply Chain, and other leadership and teams.
- Facilitate workshops on sales processes, order management, billing, pricing frameworks, and intercompany scenarios.
- Advise stakeholders on S/4HANA capabilities such as advanced pricing and standard sales functionality.
System Integrator Collaboration
- Work closely with SI consultants to ensure quality functional delivery.
- Review configuration rationale, RICEFW objects, and integration scenarios.
- Challenge non-standard or overly complex designs.
Testing, Cutover & Go-Live Support
- Define and support end-to-end testing, including cross-functional process validation.
- Support cutover activities related to Sales.
- Provide go-live and hypercare support.
Integration & Landscape Design
- Support integration across an S/4HANA-centric landscape with multiple partner non-SAP systems.
- Contribute to harmonized sales and cross-functional process design.
Post-Go-Live & Continuous Improvement
- Act as functional owner of S/4HANA Sales.
- Manage enhancements and contribute to cross-functional roadmap initiatives.
