ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a
API Operations Engineer, in
IT your role will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and following up on API-related incidents in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. The candidate will work closely with developers and QA engineers, helping ensure the reliability and stability of our services across different environments. Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential for daily communication and documentation.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a good understanding of databases, T-SQL, SQL Server, and basic programming skills in C#, working within a .NET environment. These skills will help in troubleshooting API issues that involve backend data interactions or service integrations. .
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES-
Monitor system performance and behavior, especially during production deployments.

Investigate incidents related to our APIs by analyzing logs in ElasticSearch and checking system configurations.

Perform database queries and validations using T-SQL in SQL Server to support issue analysis and resolution.

Act as the first point of contact for API-related issues and escalate to development when necessary.

Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to reproduce and debug issues, including those related to .NET-based APIs.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum or Kanban, depending on the team).

Document findings, common issues, and solutions to support continuous improvement.

Ensure effective communication with stakeholders in a distributed and international setup.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS-
Solid understanding of API concepts, particularly SOAP and REST.

Desirable: experience with RESTful API design principles.

Experience using tools like ElasticSearch for log analysis.

Familiarity with system configuration troubleshooting.

Knowledge of databases, T-SQL, and SQL Server for query execution and data validation.

Basic experience with C# and .NET environments to assist in debugging API or backend-related issues.

Previous experience working in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).

Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
