ACCIONA is looking for a Geodetic Engineer for its construction business. This position will be based in the Philippines
The Geotechincal Engineer will be responsible for ground investigation analysis, foundation design review, soil improvement techniques, and follow-up of geotechnical performance during execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform geodetic and hydrographic surveys for marine and coastal infrastructure projects.

Establish control points and benchmarks for project alignment and construction.

Process and analyze survey data using advanced geodetic and GIS software.

Prepare topographic, bathymetric, and geospatial maps for design and construction.

Collaborate with marine engineers to integrate geodetic data into structural designs.

Operate and maintain GPS, GNSS, sonar, and other marine survey instruments.

Ensure compliance with international geodetic and marine engineering standards.

Prepare detailed survey reports, charts, and documentation for regulatory compliance.

Help the technical office to get the bill of quantities, including but not limited to identifying deviations to the Contract.

Help the procurement department so that the requirements towards subcontractors/suppliers are established and later followed up to achieve the needed tolerances.

Survey team management, including the budgeting and cost control

Help to quality and commissioning department with point 2 above, including reception checklist and survey controls.

Interaction with the construction team to determine the best construction methods.
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geodetic Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in marine engineering projects

Licenses/Certifications: Preferably Licensed Geodetic Engineer; any relevant marine engineering certifications.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in hydrographic survey techniques, GNSS systems, CAD/GIS software, and marine geospatial tools.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Key Competencies:

Expertise in geodetic and hydrographic surveying.

Knowledge of marine construction methods and environmental considerations.

Ability to manage complex geospatial data for large-scale infrastructure projects.
