This role will be reporting into our Head of Engineering. You will be the third backend hire to help build and lead a next-generation international food platform.
Responsabilities:
- Design and build world-class products using .Net Core
- Build tools that empower our engineers, data scientists, and analysts to quickly get key business insights
- Extract data from various databases, third-party tools, and APIs
- Connecting different data sources and creating data pipelines
- Design, develop, and test high-performance batch and stream data processing systems and tools
- Work on security, performance, scalability, availability challenges
- Help to drive the product forward
- Participate in our technical discussions on developing product features
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a data engineer.
- 3+ years of experience as a .Net engineer.
- Experience in projects with data integration and data gathering methodologies and APIs.
- You have strong dimensional modelling skills, you know how to design the best data model for each type of use case.
- Extensive experience with object-oriented design and coding and testing patterns, including experience with engineering software platforms and data infrastructures.
- Good knowledge of monitoring, logging, config management, containers, databases.
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Understanding of Machine Learning and Automation.
- Knowledge of the testing cycle, automation and with knowledge and/or experience of SCRUM and/or Kanban.
- Good communicator who can work well within a delivery team and manage interactions with other parts of the organisation.
- Team player who is willing to stand up and put forward ideas.
- Extreme ownership, a can-do attitude.
- Fluent in Spanish and English is a strong plus.
