At Fayara, we’re building and scaling high-performance digital infrastructure that powers growth across AdTech and MarTech ecosystems. We’re looking for people who are curious, driven, and eager to take ownership in solving complex, high-impact problems.
Location: Madrid, Gran Via area
Work Mode: Hybrid (3-4 days/week from the office)
Salary: Depending on experience
We're looking for someone to lead our BI and Analytics function and help us take the next step in how we use data across the business.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a perfectly structured data platform and simply keep the lights on. We're at an interesting point in our growth where our reporting and analytics capabilities have become critical to the business, but we know there is significant room to improve how our data ecosystem is built and managed.
Today, we have a solid BI team and a lot of valuable data. We also have some challenges that naturally come with growth. Much of our reporting depends on complex SQL logic and transformations happening within Power BI, which means building new dashboards, analytics models, or machine learning projects often requires more effort than it should. We want someone who can help us improve that.
You'll be joining as the senior leader for BI and Analytics, taking ownership of the function, supporting and developing the team, and helping define what our future data architecture should look like. You'll work closely with leadership to understand business priorities, while also staying close enough to the technical side to challenge ideas, make architectural decisions, and guide the team through implementation.
This is not a pure management role, and it's not a pure hands-on engineering role either. We need someone comfortable operating in both worlds.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead the BI and Analytics function, supporting the existing team and helping us build the capabilities we'll need as the company continues to grow.
A big part of your role will be understanding our current setup, identifying what's working, what's slowing us down, and where we should invest next. You'll help shape the BI roadmap, improve reporting performance and governance, and introduce stronger standards around data modelling, analytics delivery, and team operations.
You'll also play a key role in modernising our data platform. That could include evaluating data warehouse approaches, improving ETL processes, introducing better data modelling practices, and assessing technologies such as Microsoft Fabric as part of our longer-term strategy.
Beyond reporting, we're increasingly interested in advanced analytics, forecasting, AI, and machine learning use cases. We don't expect you to be a Data Scientist, but we do want someone who understands the space well enough to help create the foundations that allow those initiatives to succeed.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has already led BI, Analytics, or Data teams and has experience balancing strategy, leadership, and hands-on technical work.
You'll probably have experience in environments where data plays a central role in decision-making, such as Digital marketing, SaaS, e-commerce, Performance Marketing, consulting, or other data-rich businesses.
We're particularly interested in people who have seen different environments and technology stacks throughout their career. Someone who has worked across multiple companies, agencies, consultancies, or transformation projects often brings the broader perspective we're looking for.
You'll likely bring:
Several years of experience leading BI, Analytics, or Data teams
Strong Power BI expertise, including data modelling, governance, performance optimisation, and DAX
Advanced SQL skills
Good Python knowledge for data manipulation, automation, and analytics workflows
A strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and scalable data architecture
Experience building reporting frameworks and analytics capabilities that can scale with business growth
The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with Microsoft Fabric would be a significant advantage, as would exposure to Azure data technologies, modern cloud data platforms, or data transformation programmes.
The kind of person who will thrive here
We're looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs fixing.
The strongest candidates will be naturally curious, proactive, and comfortable operating with a degree of ambiguity. You'll enjoy identifying opportunities, challenging existing approaches, and helping teams improve rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
You'll also be someone who enjoys mentoring and developing others. We have talented people on the team, but we're looking for a leader who can raise the level of the entire function, create more structure, and help individuals grow.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with practical execution. Someone who can discuss long-term architecture and organisational design in one meeting, then dive into data models, reporting challenges, or technical decisions in the next.
What success looks like
In your first few months, we'd expect you to develop a clear understanding of our current BI landscape, identify technical debt and improvement opportunities, and build strong relationships across the business.
From there, you'll define a practical roadmap for improving our analytics capability, modernising our data architecture, and scaling the team to support future growth.
Success isn't just about delivering more dashboards. It's about creating a BI and analytics function that is faster, more scalable, more reliable, and ready to support the company's next stage of growth.
We value thoughtful applications and review each one carefully. Every application is reviewed by a member of our team. If your experience aligns with what we’re looking for, we’ll be in touch regarding next steps.
