Description of the post

Description:
The BETA Technology Centre is made up of a young, multidisciplinary team of over 140 researchers, and is looking to recruit a dynamic individual with leadership skills who is keen to be part of this project.
We are looking for a software developer (full-stack or backend).
The successful candidate will join the Green Digital Transition unit and will take part in various projects at the centre as the technical lead for tasks relating to the development of various web applications.

Functions and duties:

Involvement in the conceptualisation, definition and design of the application architecture
Front-end development and interface usability
Back-end development and APIs architecture
Database management
Programming and code writing
Deployment of the web application
Preparation of documentation for end users of the developed software

Decree on recognition of qualifications of teaching and research staff and professional services staff

Title
A degree in Computer Engineering, Technical Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunications, Environmental Sciences or other science degrees

Certification of Level C1 in Catalan or commitment to obtain it.

Accreditation of Level B2 English or commitment to obtain it.

Advanced knowledge of one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, etc.

Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Knowledge of a JavaScript front-end framework (particularly Vue3)

Knowledge of specific Python packages (e.g. Pandas, NumPy, Flask).

Other requirements

Merits

5 years’ demonstrable experience in software development.
Experience of projects using continuous integration
Basic knowledge of sustainability, life-cycle analysis and carbon footprints
