As a Pastry Trainee, you will complement your academic studies with practical experience while supporting the Pastry team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality products for the hotel’s restaurants, events, banquets, and in-room dining operations. You will have the opportunity to learn professional pastry techniques, food safety standards, and production processes within a large-scale luxury hotel kitchen.
This is an operational internship with a rotating schedule, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to hotel operational needs.
- Support the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
- Follow recipes, procedures, and quality standards established by the Pastry department.
- Assist in the daily production for restaurants, banquets, events, and other hotel outlets.
- Help prepare ingredients and organize mise en place for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Assist with the proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
- Learn and apply pastry decoration and presentation techniques.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Participate in departmental trainings, briefings, and learning activities.
- Represent the Grand Hyatt brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.
