About the Company and Department
Philip Morris International is redefining its business model through innovation and sustainability, focusing on smoke-free alternatives and responsible global practices. This internship will take place in the Global Procurement Department, based in Madrid but operating worldwide. The team plays a key role in supplier strategy and global category management, particularly in the development of the Trade Engagement category, a critical area of investment and strategic sourcing.
Learning Objectives
Throughout the internship, the participant will have the opportunity to:
Learn how to support the development of global procurement strategies within the Trade Engagement category.
Gain experience in market research and supplier scouting at both global and regional levels.
Understand supplier negotiation processes and contract development alongside legal experts.
Collaborate on cross-functional projects and interact with international business stakeholders.
Apply data analysis tools to support strategic decision-making.
Create high-impact reports and presentations to communicate procurement strategy and insights.
Mentorship and Supervision
The intern will be guided by a qualified company supervisor who will:
Define specific learning objectives at the start of the internship.
Provide continuous mentoring and regular feedback.
Monitor progress and ensure the intern is developing within an educational framework.
Required Skills:

Full professional proficiency in English
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
