We're looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Retail & Consumer Products to join our team across Europe in a hybrid or remote working mode. In this strategic role, you will lead AI and agentic transformation initiatives for global retail and consumer goods enterprises, advising C-suite stakeholders and driving innovations that deliver measurable business outcomes in dynamic and competitive markets.
Responsibilities

Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for retail and consumer product clients
- Act as a strategic advisor to executives on AI adoption and digital innovation
- Lead presales activities including building business cases and shaping new opportunities
- Facilitate workshops to translate complex business challenges into actionable AI solutions
- Drive AI adoption at scale through change management and value-driven delivery plans
- Lead cross-functional teams to deploy AI and multi-agent solutions from concept to production
- Maintain expertise in large language models, orchestration frameworks and AI ecosystems across major labs and hyperscalers
- Ensure AI solutions meet security, compliance and scalability standards for retail operations
- Mentor internal and client teams to strengthen applied AI capabilities
- Monitor emerging technology trends and represent EPAM as a thought leader in AI for retail
Requirements

10+ years of experience in retail and consumer products with leadership in business transformation or digital innovation roles
- Deep understanding of omnichannel commerce, supply chain complexity and merchandising economics
- Proven experience advising C-suite executives and leading AI adoption strategies at enterprise scale
- Practical experience with AI technologies including large language models, multi-agent systems and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks
- Familiarity with leading AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft AI) and major hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong background in presales, business case development and strategic solution design
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage cross-functional global teams
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred
- Ability to travel as required
