We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in the design and development of real-time embedded software systems for space or aeronautical applications. The ideal candidate has solid theoretical and practical knowledge of real-time operating systems, embedded architectures, and software development standards applicable to critical systems.
The role requires availability for on-call duty and planned interventions.
- Design and develop real-time embedded software systems for space or aeronautical platforms, in compliance with applicable software development standards.
- Implement and maintain software components using C and Python for embedded environments.
- Work with real-time operating systems such as RTEMS, VxWorks, or FreeRTOS on embedded architectures (ARM Cortex, RISC-V, PowerPC).
- Perform software verification and validation activities, including test specification and execution using EGSE/SCOE test benches.
- Define and document software and system designs using UML and SysML methodologies.
- Apply software configuration management practices using tools such as Git or SVN.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams following waterfall, SCRUM, or agile development methodologies.
- Engineering degree with 3–5 years of professional experience in relevant areas.
- Proven experience in the design and development of real-time embedded software systems for the space or aeronautical industry.
- Excellent programming skills in C and Python.
- Solid theoretical knowledge of multitasking systems and real-time operating systems (RTEMS, VxWorks, FreeRTOS, or similar).
- Experience with embedded computer architectures such as ARM Cortex, RISC-V, or PowerPC.
- Experience in software verification and validation, including test definition and execution.
- Knowledge of software design and documentation methodologies (UML, SysML).
- Experience working with containers such as Docker or Podman.
- Experience or exposure to DevOps infrastructure and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- English level B2 (desirable).
