What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Python Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications to be part of the project of the client from the banking sector.
Main tasks and accountabilities will be:
- Act as the primary point of contact for an application which manages risk and control data, executes controls, and reports results.
- Plan and manage throughout the application lifecycle, bridging the gap between business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
- Ensure that applications meet business requirements, comply with organizational standards, and deliver reliable services to end users.
- Ensure that all environments follow internal security guidelines, audit requirements, and industry standards.
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned applications.
- Manage application lifecycle, including enhancements, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Analyse and resolve incidents, problems, and root causes.
What UST expects from you?
- Strong experience with Linux-based application operations and deployment.
- Strong Python development skills with Django.
- Experience with SQL and enterprise databases (Oracle and Trino preferred).
- Experience with background processing and caching technologies such as Celery and Redis.
- Web application development experience using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, especially in multi-system environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with development, QA, and business teams.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating environment readiness, issues, and dependencies.
- Ability to handle multiple environments and parallel testing cycles efficiently.
Nice to have
- NGINX/Gunicorn administration.
- REST API design and system integrations.
- Authentication and authorization experience (SSO, RBAC).
