About the Role
Step into a pivotal role within Swiss Re's Digital Workplace team, where you'll be at the forefront of AI-powered workplace transformation. As a Senior Workplace Engineer with a focus on Workplace AI and Data, you'll co-lead the strategy, adoption, governance, and delivery of intelligent workplace capabilities — with a spotlight on Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, and next-generation agentic AI platforms.
This is not just an engineering role — it's a senior technical leadership role focused on the safe, secure, compliant, and scalable implementation of Workplace AI capabilities. You will drive business value, influence cross-functional teams, define guardrails and controls, and ensure AI solutions are delivered in line with security, compliance, regulatory, and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Drive platform evolution by identifying, evaluating, and deploying new Workplace AI and Microsoft 365 capabilities, processes and solutions aligned with business requirements

Lead design and implementation of robust AI and M365 security, governance, and compliance controls, translating regulatory requirements such as the EU AI Act, GDPR, and internal risk policies into technical controls and operating procedures

Co-lead the strategy and adoption of AI-powered workplace tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise, translating technology into measurable business value

Monitor and respond to fast-paced developments in the Workplace AI and agentic space, maintaining active engagement with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Leverage data platforms such as Palantir Foundry and MS Power Platform to drive data-informed workplace decisions and visualisations
- Hands-on agentic implementation with Copilot Studio, ChatGPT Enterprise and other platforms.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Expert knowledge of Workplace AI and agentic architecture and solutions (e.g. Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise), including the ability to translate these tools into tangible business value and measurable impact

Advanced knowledge of data management and visualisation, including hands-on experience with tools such as MS Power Platform and Palantir Foundry
-
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and services, including related security, governance, and compliance capabilities such as Microsoft Purview
-
Advanced automation and scripting capabilities using PowerShell and Power Automate, including experience with modern DevOps technologies and CI/CD methodologies

Good working knowledge of Azure Cloud, Networking, Identity and Access Management, as well as provisioning, authorisation, and authentication concepts
-
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements impacting AI solutions, including GDPR, EU AI Act, and enterprise governance practices
Hands on experience with advanced agentic platforms such as ChatGPT Enterprise and Copilot Studio -
Development experience using a modern programming language (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python)

Fluent English with excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation and beyond
These are additional nice to haves:

Experience working in a global enterprise environment, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector

Familiarity with eDiscovery, Compliance Capture, and Risk Management methodologies

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
