ROLE PURPOSE:
The Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Operations team at Everest, is looking for a DUA Onboarding Analyst to join the growing division and to be based in Madrid.
The fundamentals of the team are to support the pre and post bind functionality of business processes and procedures, administration and analysis around the oversight and governance of Delegated Authority (DA) facilities across Everest platforms, ensuring the business has been processed in compliance with regulatory minimum standards.
Whilst the individual will be based in Madrid and they will initially support the UK&I business, as we grow there will be an opportunity to support broader markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coverholder / MGA documentation operational review and analysis.
Day to day administration of the Coverholder / MGA Approval Workflow Platform for Everest International and to chase stakeholders for any outstanding actions, due diligence escalating upwards as and when required.
Administration on key areas of the Everest International D A portfolio to key stakeholders in accordance with internal Group and external regulatory minimum standards.
Challenge received due diligence where necessary from Coverholder / MGAs.
Consistent and accurate Third-party counterparty analysis and measurement against current codes of practice.
Assistance with coordinated performance meetings between Coverholder/MGA, Everest underwriters and DU team(s).
KEY ACCOUNTABILIES:
Assisting the Delegated Underwriting Onboarding Manager to perform due diligence checks on DU documentation for Coverholder / MGAs. This can be directly with the Coverholder / MGA and or through external systems. To be the focal point working with stakeholders, internally within Everest International and/or externally to source and review incoming documentation to ensure that all requisite documentation is recorded and stored within internal Everest International filing systems and onboarding tool.
To be able to review due diligence and challenge areas required for change of the DD files received from the MGA/Coverholder.
Assist with the workflow management and administration, ensuring that all required agreement party tasks are chased down and completed within prescribed timescales. To produce for business stakeholders any requisite reporting that shows any area of incomplete administration and escalate issues accordingly to the Head of Delegated Underwriting Operations.
Work in conjunction with the Delegated Underwriting MI & Reporting Manager to produce and update Delegated Underwriting operational based management information and/or dashboard reporting, as relevant, for Internal Committee Meetings and business users as required.
To routinely perform checks on a periodical basis to be determined of all internal and external minimum standards applied to the orderly running of all in-force and expired Delegated Authority Contracts and ensure that all pertinent documentation is securely maintained within the internal DU and Everest filing systems. To review exceptions on a monthly basis with the Delegated Underwriting Onboarding Manager and report to the Head of Delegated Underwriting Operations.
To administer location of outstanding or missing documentation and report genuine exception reporting with the Delegated Underwriting MI & Reporting Manager to the relevant committees.
Any other ad hoc duties or tasks as defined and agreed with the Head of Delegated Underwriting Operations and Technical Manager - Delegated Underwriting.
All functions to be performed in accordance with current Everest International policies and specific procedure manuals, as amended from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Abilities
Experience with a Lloyd’s Managing Agent/Syndicate/Company Insurance/MGA
Relevant experience of technical reviews of Agreements and relevant Coverholder / MGA insurance documentation (training will be given)
Outstanding communication, both written and verbal.
Ability to think proactively and offer solutions to problems.
Extensive technology experience including PAS, DMS, Workflow and MS Office suite.
Strong prioritisation and time keeping skills.
Use of Management Information tools
Minimum School/college examinations or relevant experience in operational delegated underwriting authority or syndicate/company underwriting support role.
Progress towards attaining professional qualifications desired, if not already achieved.
Must be an excellent communicator.
Must demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and take on new work tranches if and when required.
Languages skills: English and Spanish (verbal and written).
