The candidate must demonstrate more than 5 years of development experience in embedded Linux environments. Experience in graphical user interfaces (GUI), real-time and concurrent programming will be valued. The candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of high performance optical network test and measurement products You will enjoy a world-class work environment in the center of Barcelona, at walking distance of the Olympic Port and you will be empowered to full fill your greatest engineer ambitions
This position involves the following major responsibilities:
- Design, programming and software integration of Linux-based products
- Improve and maintain existing software components
- Excellent C programming skills
- Programming on real-time and concurrent systems (multithreading)
- Network application development (sockets)
- Communicative, dynamic person with the ability to work in a team
- Higher degree in Computer Science or similar
- N years of programming experience in embedded Linux
- Deep knowledge of embedded Linux environments
- Real-Time and embedded software in Telecom & Networking applications
- Networking technologies such as Ethernet and TCP/IP
- Good knowledge of Linux at the development level
- Good knowledge of object orientation methodologies
- Discipline to develop quality deliverables at all stages of the life cycle
- Ability to develop reusable and structured code
- Linux at driver development level
- Hardware and software development at a low level
- Designing graphical user interfaces (GUI)
- Fiber optic technologies
- Communications protocols (Ethernet, IP, UDP...)
- ARM processors
- Web technologies
- Professional, friendly and willing disposition
- Maintain high quality customer service
- English is a must, other languages are welcome
