For our Data Centers in the Zaragoza area, we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to manage the day by day physical security operations of our sites. Under the direct leadership of the Cluster Security Manager, the DSS maintains the physical security posture of their assigned sites.

Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day activities and site security operations.
- Direct and manage contract guard force to run daily data center operations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel.
- Ability to walk a facility and observe security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
- Evaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
- Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
- Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data.
- Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards.
- Assist in all media integrity related Programs.
- Assist in the training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures.
- Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated and/or assigned to the team.
- Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.
- Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures based on regional or global security initiatives.
- Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards.
- Participate in site audits, inspections and walk-through.
- Identifying, discussing and bringing forward issues and solutions to senior team members.
- Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairs.
A day in the life
This position is to be 80% operational and 20% tactical. The DSS will support a senior Data Center Security Manager in charge of physical security operations in multiple Data Centers.
The DSS role will include the supervision of the contract guard force. They will conduct drills and tests, investigate alarms, and participate in daily operations from a security point of view, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
