About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Food & Beverage Department, the Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and personalized dining experience from arrival to departure. The Hostess reports to the Restaurant Manager.
As Hostess, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Managing reservations and coordinating table seating efficiently.
- Ensuring optimal guest flow and minimizing waiting times.
- Maintaining clear communication with the service and kitchen team.
- Personalizing guest experiences and handling special requests.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
As Hostess, we expect from you:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent grooming and presentation.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a multicultural mindset.
- Strong focus on guest satisfaction, always remaining calm and courteous.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
