Essential Skills and Experience
Proven Change Management Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Change Management, applying recognized methodologies (e.g., PROSCI/ADKAR certification is highly desirable).
Industry Knowledge (Mandatory): Hands-on experience in the Energy/Utilities sector, specifically with IT applications related to:
Renewable Energy Asset Management (Wind and Solar PV).
Energy Management Systems (EMS) or SCADA.
Integration with electricity/power markets (e.g., trading, scheduling, balancing mechanisms in the UK or European markets).
Technical Acumen: Ability to understand complex IT architectures and translate technical concepts into clear, business-oriented change narratives.
Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English (native-level or equivalent proficiency required to work with the British client).
Soft Skills: Strong influencing, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Project Management: Familiarity with both traditional waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
Responsibilities and Duties
Change Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive Change Management Strategy aligned with project objectives, organizational culture, and the specific needs of end users (traders, energy managers, and asset operators).
Stakeholder Management: Identify, analyze, and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the client organization, including IT, Operations, Trading, and Executive Leadership teams.
Communication Planning: Design and deliver targeted, regular, and effective communication campaigns to keep stakeholders informed and address concerns regarding system changes (e.g., EMS/SCADA upgrades, Market Interface integrations, Asset Management software).
Training & Readiness: Assess training requirements and oversee the development and delivery of training programs (e.g., workshops, documentation, e-learning modules) to ensure end users are fully proficient with new applications and processes.
Impact Assessment: Conduct detailed change impact assessments to evaluate how system changes affect roles, processes, and organizational structures within wind and solar asset management and market integration teams.
Resistance Management: Proactively identify potential sources of resistance and develop targeted mitigation plans to address concerns and accelerate user adoption.
Change Metrics: Define and monitor change readiness and adoption metrics (e.g., usage rates, error logs, survey results) to measure the effectiveness of change management initiatives.
