Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Support Technician (Técnico de Soporte) to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems. This role requires excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems through remote and on-site support.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Install software updates, patches, and operating system upgrades.
- Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures using a help desk system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of office IT equipment and workstations.
- Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring timely issue resolution.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an IT Support Technician, Help Desk Technician, or similar role.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and remote support tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical certification or diploma in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
