Role Purpose
As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will lead and oversee all fire safety engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from design review and construction supervision to commissioning, regulatory approvals, and operational readiness. You will ensure full compliance with Spanish and European fire safety regulations while supporting the delivery of a safe, efficient, and world-class manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fire protection engineering activities for the project from design through construction and handover.
- Review and optimize fire protection systems, including fire water networks, automatic suppression systems, smoke extraction, explosion protection, and evacuation systems.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish fire regulations, European standards, and internal company requirements.
- Supervise on-site fire protection installations and verify construction quality.
- Coordinate with designers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and local authorities to resolve technical and regulatory issues.
- Manage fire safety approvals, inspections, testing, and acceptance processes.
- Identify and mitigate fire safety risks throughout the design and construction phases.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal fire protection standards and engineering procedures.
