Location: Finca Soleá, Zahara de la Sierra, Spain
Start Date: July 12th
Position: Part Time (20h)
About the Role
At Finca Soleá, our horses are central to the guest experience, connecting travelers to the ancient landscape of the Sierra de Cádiz. We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and passionate Equestrian & Guest Guide to take ownership of our stable operations and lead our boutique horseback riding experiences.
This role requires a unique balance: the work ethic and knowledge needed for the daily care of horses, combined with the social grace and hospitality required to guide guests on premium trail rides and artisanal picnics.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Care & Herd Management: Oversee the daily feeding, grooming, and health monitoring of our horses. Maintain clean, safe, and organized stables, paddocks, and tack rooms.
- Guiding Guest Experiences: Lead our signature trail rides through the 116-hectare estate (including the Soleá Ride with Organic Olive Oil Aperitif and the Horseback Ride with Artisanal Picnic).
- Safety & Presentation: Ensure the highest standards of safety for riders of all skill levels. Prepare the horses and equipment beautifully, reflecting the high-end boutique nature of the Finca.
- Guest Hospitality: Act as an ambassador for Finca Soleá during tours, sharing the history of our 1755 estate, our organic farming philosophy, and the landscape with warmth and poise.
Requirements
- Equestrian Expertise: Strong, confident riding skills and demonstrable experience in horse care, stable management, and horse handling.
- Languages: Fluency in English is absolutely essential as you will be guiding international guests. Professional proficiency in Spanish is highly valued.
- Hospitality Mindset: Excellent communication skills, a welcoming personality, and the ability to make guests feel safe, comfortable, and looked after.
- Availability: Must be ready to begin on-site on July 12th. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required, as these are our busiest guest days.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in Spain. Knowledge of the Sierra de Cádiz region is a plus.
