ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is launching a major greenfield telecommunications initiative to establish a new fibre network operator in Syria. To support this programme, our client is building a team of senior IT architecture specialists who will be responsible for defining the future IT ecosystem and preparing the technical documentation required for the procurement and implementation phases.
The engagement will cover IT strategy, enterprise architecture, OSS, BSS, ERP, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, integration, governance, operating model design, procurement documentation, and implementation planning.
The assignment is expected to last approximately six months and will be delivered primarily on-site in Damascus. Additional travel may be required depending on project needs.
ROLE
The ERP & Enterprise Applications Architect will define the corporate application landscape required to support finance, procurement, human resources, payroll, asset management, contract management, document management, governance, and internal operations.
The role will establish an integrated and scalable enterprise application environment from a greenfield baseline.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the enterprise applications and ERP strategy.
- Identify the corporate systems required to support the new organisation.
- Establish cloud-first and SaaS-first application principles.
- Design the target architecture for ERP, finance, procurement, HR, payroll, asset management, contract management, document management, and enterprise reporting.
- Define application ownership, enterprise data ownership, and governance principles.
- Conduct requirements workshops with finance, procurement, HR, legal, administration, and other corporate functions.
- Define functional, technical, security, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Identify process-automation and workflow opportunities.
- Define integration requirements between ERP, OSS, BSS, data platforms, identity systems, and other enterprise applications.
- Prepare ERP-related RFIs, RFPs, specifications, implementation scopes, and service requirements.
- Support vendor evaluations, demonstrations, solution assessments, and implementation-partner selection.
- Define the ERP implementation roadmap, rollout approach, support model, and application lifecycle framework.
- Establish governance processes and service-performance KPIs for corporate applications.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience in ERP and enterprise application architecture.
- Strong knowledge of finance, procurement, HR, payroll, asset management, contract management, and reporting systems.
- Experience designing enterprise applications from a greenfield starting point.
- Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud-based ERP, integration, enterprise data governance, and workflow automation.
- Experience preparing RFPs and evaluating ERP products and implementation partners.
- Telecommunications-sector experience would be beneficial.
