Account Executive – DACH & BENELUX Markets (Recruitment / HR Tech Sales)
About the Company
My client are a disruptive, early-stage HR Tech and AI platform backed by top-tier venture capital firms, having recently secured an oversubscribed Seed funding round. They are transforming the global recruitment marketplace by providing scaling enterprises with an innovative, transparent, and flexible alternative to rigid RPO contracts and traditional agencies. To drive their rapid expansion into Europe's highest-growth hiring regions, we are establishing an elite commercial hub in Barcelona.
About the Role
This is a pure Hunter Account Executive position with complete, end-to-end sales cycle ownership. Operating from our Barcelona office, you will natively target high-growth companies hiring 20+ roles per quarter across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Your focus will span two highly active commercial verticals:
- Technology: Regulated software scale-ups, AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, and deep/industrial tech (semiconductors, robotics, climate tech).
- Financial Services: Banks, asset managers, insurance groups, and fintech scale-ups.
Deal sizes range from €50K to multi-million euro contracts with lucrative, uncapped fee structures. Your target in the first 12 months will be ~€400-500K in invoice revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Outbound: Execute disciplined, daily outbound sales sequences to open doors cold across the DACH and BENELUX regions.
- Full-Cycle Closing: Own the entire sales process from initial cold outbound through qualification, value proposition mapping, and final commercial contract negotiation.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Build credible relationships and successfully negotiate up to C-suite and senior Talent Acquisition/Hiring managers.
- Startup Agility: Take radical responsibility for your pipeline and revenue targets in a dynamic, early-stage startup environment.
Requirements & Profile Fit
- Language Fluency: Native or fluent German speaker with active, native-level understanding of the DACH and/or BENELUX business landscapes (strict requirement).
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of dedicated sales experience (maximum 5 years).
- Industry Background: Proven track record selling recruitment solutions in any capacity (contingency, RPO, embedded, subscription, or flexible models). Candidates coming from a smaller recruitment agency environment (3-10 people doing BD) are highly desirable.
- Deal Metrics Fluency: You must be able to thoroughly quantify your proudest deal end-to-end (including the channel used, specific deal stages, signed contract value, and term limits).
- Notice Period & Location: Maximum 2 months notice period and full ability to work from our Barcelona office on a hybrid schedule.
- Mindset: Highly resilient, comfortable navigating repeated "no's", and fundamentally commercially driven.
