Job Description
Sulinfra Networks Madrid is seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Technician (Técnico de Telecomunicaciones) to join our technical operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems and network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and high-quality communication services. You will work closely with engineering and IT teams to support business operations and client projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, cabling, and communication systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose faults in telecommunications networks.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, voice, data, and network performance issues.
- Assist in the deployment and testing of telecommunications infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Document installation procedures, maintenance activities, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams during infrastructure upgrades and new installations.
- Provide technical support and training to end users when required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Network Technician, or a similar technical role.
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems, fiber optic and copper cabling, and network infrastructure.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, routers, switches, wireless technologies, and VoIP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network diagrams.
- Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Technical diploma or certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
