About the Role:
As a Secondary History & Humanities Teacher, you will teach History and some Geography, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning. You will plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners, using a variety of teaching approaches to support, challenge, and stretch students across a range of abilities. You will assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform your teaching and help students achieve their full potential. Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will contribute to the wider life of the school through form tutoring, extra-curricular activities, and participation in school events. You will also play a key role in maintaining high standards of behaviour, supporting student wellbeing, and upholding safeguarding responsibilities.
This is a permanent, full-time role, with a start date of 31/08/2026.
Who We Are Looking For:
You are a passionate and committed teacher with the ability to engage and motivate students in Humanities subjects. You have strong organisational skills and a clear understanding of effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. You work well as part of a team and are committed to continuous professional development. You have high expectations for all students and are dedicated to raising achievement. Ideally, you can teach History and some Geography at Key Stage 3, with the potential to teach at IGCSE level. Above all, you bring energy, initiative, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people.
