Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease’s Global Value Access and Pricing (GVAP) team is seeking a qualified Director to join a dynamic and growing team, with responsibility for Neurology indications, including near-term new product launches and label expansions.
As a key member of the GVAP team, you will help shape and execute global value, access, and pricing strategies across the Neurology portfolioin selected key EU markets, with particular strategic focus on the NMOSD indication and its lifecycle management
This is a strategic role that leverages your understanding and application of global healthcare and health technology assessment (HTA) systems, competitive insights, and clinical knowledge to shape market access, pricing, and reimbursement success for critical product launches and indications.
The ideal candidate for this role will have deep expertise in global payer, HTA, and reimbursement ecosystems, with a strong track record of driving market access, pricing, and reimbursement success within rare diseases and Neurology.
You will be responsible for:
Value
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that evidence generation plans and real-world evidence (RWE) are incorporated effectively to deliver a comprehensive value proposition, reduce uncertainty for payers, and optimize patient access. This includes securing timely country input on endpoints and evidence generation plans in priority target countries.
Provide support to the GMMA Commercial team to advance NMOSD lifecycle management (LCM) through governance milestones focused on market access potential, evidence, and target product profile (TPP) requirements.
Access
Create and roll out strategic value, access, and pricing communication tools and materials for NMOSD to support local P&R submissions and negotiations, such as pricing frameworks, negotiation strategies, and toolkits, in alignment with the enterprise-wide launch framework.
Lead the update of the global reimbursement dossier for NMOSD and the overall cross-functional market access readiness plans for Neurology, in close collaboration with key countries and support functions (HEOR, Medical, and Commercial).
Represent the GVAP perspective and strategy across various cross-functional teams, including the Global Value Sub-Team and Global Launch Team, and provide updates and guidance to local teams as needed.
Pricing
Conduct payer and value assessments to identify key market-specific P&R drivers and barriers, develop differentiated value propositions, and inform evidence generation plans, regulatory strategy, and development decisions.
You will need to have:
A relevant graduate degree, such as a PhD, PharmD, Biomedical Sciences, business, or economics qualification.
Knowledge of the needs and expectations of national and regional payers, insurers, and commercial customers in our strategic markets. Knowledge and experience in key cost-effectiveness markets, such as the UK, Canada and the Nordics, is preferred.
