Georges River Council operates five early learning services at Beverley Hills, Carss Park, Oatley West, South Hurstville and Penshurst. Our centres support around 400 children, with enrolments continuing to grow.
Our teams are recognised for excellence in Environmental Programming. We are also proud of our Reconciliation Action Plan, developed in partnership with Aboriginal staff and community members.
Our educators take pride in their work. We follow the National Quality Standards (NQS) and regularly review our Quality Improvement Plans. Several centres have achieved an overall Exceeding rating from ACECQA.

About the Position
- Employment type: Casual
- Location: Beverley Hills, Carss Park, Oatley West, South Hurstville and Penshurst
- Hours: Flexible shifts between 6.50am and 6.10pm (as required)
- Salary: $46.15 per hour + 25% casual loading + 12% superannuation
We are seeking enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers to join our casual pool across our five centres. This flexible role offers a variety of shifts, from single days to longer blocks, covering staff absences such as sick and annual leave.
Key focus areas include:
- Deliver high-quality early childhood education in line with the EYLF, National Regulations and NQS
- Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate, play-based learning programs
- Use intentional teaching strategies to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Observe, document and assess children’s learning to inform ongoing program planning
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Ensure a safe, inclusive and engaging environment through active supervision and best practice
- Contribute to continuous improvement through reflective practice and Quality Improvement Plans
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor of Teaching/Education or equivalent) and current NESA Proficient Teacher Accreditation
- A current Working with Children Check, Child Protection Training, and First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications
- Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0–5 years in an early learning or childcare setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage competing priorities
