As a BIBEC Regional Specialist , you will play a pivotal role within the Investment Banking & Finance (IB&F) division. Your primary mission will be to act as the strategic bridge between the Banking Enterprise Clients (BEI) network and CIB product specialist units.
About the job:
You will lead the origination and structuring of investment banking product solutions for high-potential corporate clients within your assigned geography. This role requires a unique combination of sharp financial acumen, proactive origination skills, and the ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams without silos.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy, Origination & Business Development
Collaborate directly in defining the geographical sales strategy, comprehensive business plans, and financial forecasts for BEI clients.
Identify, originate, and execute new corporate and investment banking transactions, fostering a high-level strategic dialogue with clients.
Boost innovative investment banking opportunities jointly with BEI Bankers and specialized CIB product units.
Meet and exceed annual recurring revenue targets through rigorous pipeline management and deal execution.
2. Commercial Coordination & Relationship Management
Design, set up, and coordinate the regional BIBEC commercial plan in tandem with BEI teams and CIB product desks (including target client definition, joint visit plans, and tailored commercial event programs).
Act as the core institutional link between BEI Bankers and specialized CIB product teams, promoting highly fluent and transparent communication.
Accompany BEI bankers on targeted client visits to provide specialized technical and financial advisory services, ensuring solutions are custom-tailored to each client's specific financial profile and strategic needs.
3. Deal Execution & Support
Provide end-to-end advisory services during the entire transaction lifecycle—from initial pitch and bespoke structuring to successful closing.
Collaborate actively in crafting risk assessment frameworks and navigating the corporate governance process to secure transaction risk approvals.
Monitor, track, and report on all ongoing live transactions within your assigned region to guarantee seamless execution.
4. Talent Empowerment & Ecosystem Alignment
Drive the development of specialized financial product training and corporate events to upscale product knowledge among BEI units and regional clients.
Encourage seamless coordination and strategic alignment across other CIB and non-CIB business areas and support units.
Take ownership of specific strategic industries and/or investment banking products as assigned within the global BIBEC framework.
Candidate Profile & Technical Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, M&A desks, or Structured Finance roles.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering. An MBA from a top-tier business school or a CFA charter is highly valued.
Financial Expertise: Outstanding command of corporate financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, multiples, LBO), transaction structuring, and credit risk metrics.
Languages: Native/Fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English are mandatory (C1/C2 equivalent) to participate in global cross-border transactions.
