As a Materials Product Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, quality, and scalability of polymer materials used in cutting-edge applications across industries. This is a unique opportunity to bridge R&D, manufacturing, and product engineering in a fast-evolving, innovation -driven environment.
The Materials Product Engineer holds engineering and quality responsibility for released materials in the field. This includes working closely with material suppliers to ensure product quality in line with agreed specifications. The role also supports field investigations and escalations related to material performance and quality. Product Engineers own product specifications, assess proposed changes, and lead qualification activities to ensure overall product quality. They play a key role in both sustaining engineering and new product introduction.
In new product development, Product Engineers collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements, identify potential risk areas, and define monitoring strategies. They also contribute to the definition of product stabilization plans and ongoing quality support.
Additionally, Product Engineers support field escalations, working closely with Customer Assurance and Supply Chain teams to assess issues and propose timely , effective solutions. When working with suppliers, they monitor and track production quality data, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions when needed to ensure consistent product performance.
Conduct materials characterization , testing, and analysis, following established protocols and contributing to reliable data generation.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Materials Science (preferred) , Chemical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Physics , Chemists , or other Engineering or equivalent, obtained within the last 12 months.
No prior experience required , t hough any experience in a manufacturing environment involving chemicals or plastics, especially with q uality c ontrol responsibilities, is considered a plus.
Polymer Science Fundamentals : Basic knowledge of polymer science, including material properties, behavior, and processing principles.
Digital & Analytical Tools : Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Minitab, Python)
