Plenitude Renewables Spain is expanding its Asset Management Department with the addition of a Senior Asset Manager at its headquarters in Madrid .
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the successful candidate will support the management of the company’s renewable energy portfolio in Spain, with particular emphasis on substations, grid connections and electrical infrastructure. The role will ensure reliable operation, regulatory compliance and accurate technical and performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:
- Own the operational performance of substations and grid interfaces across the assigned assets, ensuring reliable evacuation, monitoring technical losses, coordinating outages and supporting the optimisation of plant availability and grid compliance.
- Act as the primary interface for grid-related stakeholders, including TSOs (REE), DSOs (i-DE, UFD, e-distribution), internal operations and engineering teams and external service providers, ensuring timely coordination on grid events, connection issues, compliance requirements and mitigation actions.
- Lead the monitoring and reporting of substation and grid operational performance, tracking key KPIs such as availability, curtailment, outages, losses, grid incidents and response times, and ensuring accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee O&M delivery for substations and grid infrastructure, validating maintenance execution, monitoring SLA/KPI performance, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring high standards of safety, reliability and operational continuity.
- Manage contracts related to substations, grid connection, and electrical infrastructure, including O&M, OEM, protection systems, SCADA and grid service agreements, supporting change control, claims, renewals, and contractor performance management.
- Drive technical improvement initiatives in substations and grid operations by identifying reliability risks, proposing corrective investments, supporting root-cause analysis of incidents, and coordinating actions to improve evacuation performance and reduce operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with metering, settlement, and grid code obligations by coordinating with commercial, regulatory, and operational teams on metering accuracy, dispatch instructions, curtailment events and reconciliation of grid-related data.
- Support incident management and claims related to substations and grid events by coordinating technical documentation, liaising with insurers and contractors, tracking remediation, and ensuring timely closure of operational incidents and associated recoveries.
- Maintain the operational risk register for substations and grid activities, identifying key technical, regulatory, and operational risks, coordinating mitigation plans, and ensuring visibility of critical issues to management.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance for substations and grid operations by maintaining up-to-date documentation on permits, inspections, grid code requirements, switching procedures, and technical records, while supporting internal and external audits and promoting HSE compliance across contractors.
Skills and experience required:
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. A degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering, as well as previous experience in the operation or construction of renewable assets, will be considered advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of LV, MV, and HV systems, as well as substations in solar projects. Exposure to wind and BESS technologies will be considered a plus.
- Extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the maintenance and/or construction of utility scale plants.
Excellent command of English.
