DESCRIPTION:
The Core Services Technical Lead – Networks is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of projects within a large-scale transformation programme. The role ensures alignment with strategic objectives, strong governance in delivery, and rigorous financial control across all workstreams.
This position requires a solid technical background in networks and full ownership of the Services Roadmap, promoting execution excellence, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business outcomes. The Technical Lead plays a key role in overseeing all project lifecycle stages while ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards..
Tasks:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, including scoping, planning, requirements definition, testing, deployment, and service transition.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure alignment with strategic objectives across all programme workstreams.
- Maintain strong delivery governance and ensure appropriate financial control.
- Track and communicate milestones, risks, dependencies, and progress to leadership.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues to ensure informed decision-making and continuous delivery progress.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Ensure execution excellence and delivery of measurable business outcomes.
Knowledge and skills:
- Strong technical background in Communications and Network technologies.
- Experience in network-related project delivery and service management.
- Knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle management (scoping through service transition).
- Understanding of delivery governance frameworks and financial control practices.
- Familiarity with project management tools and documentation practices (e.g., RAID logs, status reports).
- Ability to manage complex transformation programmes within large-scale environments.
