Commercial & Strategic Amazon Account Manager(UK & USA Marketplace Performance)Overview
POLAR Specialist Coatings is a high-performance paint brand with over 130 years of manufacturing heritage, operating across the UK and USA through strategic Amazon partnerships.
We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Commercial & Strategic Amazon Account Manager to take ownership of Amazon performance across our business and oversee our relationship with an amazon account performance agency.
This is not a standard account management role.
This role is responsible for:
- Driving commercial growth
- Holding external partners accountable
- Collaborating strategically to scale revenue
- Ensuring nothing slips operationally or commercially
- Acting as the internal owner of Amazon performance across UK & USA
The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and operate as a strategic extension of the business.
Location & Working Structure
Applicants must be based in:
- Marbella
- Malaga
- Or the surrounding Costa del Sol area
This is a flexible hybrid role.
Candidates are required to:
- Attend in-person working sessions within the Marbella area 1–2 days per week
- Work remotely for the remainder of the week
Engagement Structure
We are open to:
- Full-time employment
- Fractional engagements
- Consultancy / retained structures
The role is open to fractional support should the candidate demonstrate the required level of commercial and Amazon expertise.
Experience Requirement
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 4 years Amazon marketplace experience
- Proven experience managing Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central accounts
- Strong understanding of Amazon advertising, listing optimisation, marketplace growth, and commercial strategy
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Ownership
- Take ownership of Amazon commercial performance across UK & USA
- Monitor and drive revenue growth, profitability, TACOS, ROAS, conversion rate, and account health
- Ensure Amazon is operated with full commercial accountability and strategic direction
- Treat Amazon performance like a business P&L
Strategic Partner Management
- Own the relationship with eVenturing
- Set direction, priorities, and expectations
- Challenge performance constructively and hold partners accountable to KPIs
- Ensure strategic alignment across advertising, listings, pricing, inventory, promotions, and launches
- Collaborate closely while maintaining performance oversight
Strategy & Growth
- Define and help execute growth strategy across:
- Listings
- Advertising
- Promotions
- Pricing
- Product launches
- Marketplace expansion
- Identify commercial opportunities across UK & USA
- Support scaling into new marketplaces and channels where appropriate
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Own reporting dashboards and weekly/monthly performance reviews
- Ensure complete visibility across:
- Sales
- Advertising performance
- Inventory
- Stock forecasting
- Account health
- Market trends
- Deliver actionable insights, not just reporting
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks before they impact revenue
- Escalate and resolve operational or commercial issues quickly
- Ensure no gaps in visibility, accountability, or execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Leadership
- eCommerce Manager
- Marketing
- Operations
- Supply Chain
- External Amazon partners
- Help align internal execution with marketplace strategy
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Minimum 4 years Amazon experience
- Based in Marbella, Malaga, or surrounding Costa del Sol area
- Strong commercial mindset
- Experience managing Amazon agencies, accelerators, or external marketplace partners

- Experience across both UK & USA Amazon marketplaces
- Experience scaling brands internationally
- Experience in consumer goods, home improvement, coatings, DIY, or related categories
- Experience working within high-growth eCommerce brands

Compensation will depend on:
