Your Role
HR software has a UX problem. Most tools in this space are complex, outdated, and built for admins, not for the people who actually use them every day. We're fixing that. You will be defining AI-powered workflows that make payroll feel effortless.
You'll report to the CPO and work across the full product, both the core HR/payroll platform and the AI experience layer.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Product Designer with technical skills and AI fluency to join our team.
The old way is over, but the design process isn’t. The traditional wireframe mockup handoff model no longer fits how great products are built today. We’re looking for someone who uses AI as a core part of their workflow, from rapid prototyping and research synthesis to design and implementation support.
Your job
- Work closely with the CPO, engineering and AI, shipping features that are both beautifully crafted and technically robust.
- Use AI tools (Cursor, v0, Claude Code, Codex) to design and prototype without waiting on engineering
- Ship fast, gather feedback, and adjust
- Shape how AI surfaces in the product: when it acts, when it asks, and when it stays out of the way
- Share ownership of the design system together with the engineering team: challenge it, propose new components, and think actively about how design decisions can compress development cycles
- Lead user research — interviews, usability tests, concept validation — and turn findings into sharp design decisions
- Own the end-to-end design process from discovery to production-ready specs
- You’re comfortable moving between Figma, Claude Code, and AI tools to turn ideas into reality, faster.
Must-have
- 4+ years of experience in product design b2b, with a strong UX foundation (not just UI)
- Strong technical foundation — Understand how AI systems are built well enough to design intelligently on top of them, and actively think about how design decisions impact development velocity
- A portfolio that shows complex problem-solving — ideally in B2B, SaaS, or data-heavy products
- Experience designing for or alongside AI features (conversational UI, copilots, agentic workflows)
- Strong research instincts — you validate before you build
Nice-to-have
- Background in HR tech, fintech, or other regulated/complex domains
- Experience setting up a design system from scratch

- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast.
- Highly autonomous: sees what needs to be built and makes it happen.
- Obsesses over understanding users and developing exceptional product intuition.
