Position Overview
Muthuma Tech Consulting is seeking an experienced and strategic Principal IT Consultant & Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions for our clients. This role combines technical leadership, enterprise architecture expertise, and client-facing consulting responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to architect scalable solutions, guide technology strategy, and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale technology solutions.
- Provide strategic IT consulting and technology advisory services to clients.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop architecture roadmaps, technical standards, and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
- Lead technical workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution presentations.
- Oversee system integrations, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure security, scalability, reliability, and performance requirements are met.
- Mentor consultants, architects, and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT consulting, solutions architecture, or enterprise architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with enterprise systems integration and modernization projects.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and IT governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and consulting engagements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, PMP, or equivalent.
- Experience with DevOps, microservices architecture, and modern application development practices.
- Experience working in consulting environments and managing client relationships.
