Data and Process Engineer
The Data and Process Hub is a growing team within the Airline Technical Support Services department at CAE Parc Aviation. The team’s mission is to enhance efficiency and capability across the aviation sector through modern technology and digital transformation.
As a Data and Process Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain web applications and digital tools, including data integrations, automations (such as robotic process automations), and other innovative solutions. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to deliver scalable, high‑quality technology solutions that support business operations.
This role offers development opportunities across multiple career paths, including deeper technical specialization (e.g. software architecture or data engineering) or broader responsibilities such as project delivery and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities include:

Designing, developing, and maintaining full‑stack web applications

Building and maintaining backend services and APIs
-
Enhancing backend functionality through the development and training of AI agents
-
Developing clean, intuitive, and scalable frontend interfaces
-
Creating system integrations using ETL processes or robotic process automations (RPAs)
-
Collaborating with internal teams and external customers to deliver technical solutions
-
Contributing to on‑premises and cloud‑based infrastructure

Supporting the ongoing digitalisation strategy of the Data and Process Hub
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in web application development

Working proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with backend frameworks such as Django and/or FastAPI
-
Experience with frontend frameworks such as React
-
Experience integrating large language model (LLM) capabilities into software solutions
-
Knowledge of artificial intelligence fundamentals for real‑world implementation
-
Understanding of software architectural patterns

Experience working within the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem (e.g. SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Graph API)

Solid understanding of both backend and frontend development principles

Interest in working within the aviation industry
