The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is seeking a Senior Research Technician to join a Personalized Medicine project focused on acromegaly, a rare disease caused by a pituitary tumor.
This project aims to deliver practical solutions for patients and clinicians by integrating clinical, molecular, and therapeutic data, with a particular focus on treatment response and mechanisms of drug resistance. Its main objective is to develop and implement a tailored algorithm to enable precise patient stratification and support informed treatment decision-making.

Collection and processing of biological samples.
-
Conduct cell culture-based experiments.
-
Establishment of primary cell cultures from pituitary tumour samples for biomarker validation and preclinical drug testing.

Conduct RNA and protein expression studies.
-
Conduct epigenetic studies.
-
Conduct data analyses, interpret the results, present and discuss them.

Collaboration with clinical teams to ensure translational relevance of the findings.

Master in Biomedicine or closely related field, with a focus on cancer research.

Experience in sample handling and processing

Strong experience in molecular biology techniques (DNA and RNA isolation, RNA quantification, PCR and genotyping).

Strong experience in cell culture, including the establishment of primary cultures.

Experience in epigenetics, particularly in DNA methylation analysis.

Hands-on experience in clinical research environments.

Basic knowledge of Rstudio.

Good command of English, both written and spoken.

International experience will be considered an asset.

Experience in pituitary tumors will be considered an asset.

Proactive, motivated, and responsible individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.
