About the role
Join BNP Paribas’s Global Markets Solutions Sales team in our vibrant Madrid office. As an FICC Solution Intern you will get a front‑line view of our Institutional client universe, learn how market dynamics shape business decisions, and support a fast‑moving team that works closely with Trading, Structuring, Research and other specialised functions. The range of products covered is ample from Balance Sheet solutions, structure investment and hedges, structure secured funding, and syndicated primary and secondary private debt solutions. The job offers a hands‑on experience, adhoc learning, deep structure analyses, involvement on marketing material, development of practical tools and pricing that improve the team’s efficiency.
As a Fixed‑Income Solutions Sales Intern you will work at the front line of our client universe. You will see how market dynamics drive business decisions and will support a fast‑moving team that collaborates daily with Trading, Structuring, Research and other specialist functions.
The internship offers hands‑on experience in:
- Developing and packaging structured solutions,
- Performing deep‑dive product analyses,
- Contributing on marketing of Private Debt
- Creating marketing material,
- Building practical pricing tools, and
- Contributing to process‑improvement projects.
Key responsibilities
- Client & business insights :
- Draft and refresh marketing material for the full suite of Solutions
- Proactively engage with multi‑cultural, multi‑national teams and cross‑asset product groups.
- Market & trend analysis
- Monitor macro‑ and micro‑economic indicators, commodity, FX and equity trends.
- Turn raw data into concise, client‑ready reports
- Cross‑functional collaboration
- Liaise daily with Traders, Structurers, Research analysts and product specialists to co‑create ad‑hoc solutions and accompanying pitch material.
- Project participation
- Support internal initiatives such as process optimisation, digital‑tool roll‑outs and data‑visualisation projects.
- Tool development – Assist in building automation to extract relevant client financial information.
- Operational support
- Prepare pitch decks, update CRM records and answer ad‑hoc information requests.
- Help with settlement and post‑trade tasks where required
- Idea generation
- Propose and test workflow improvements, new data sources or presentation formats that increase the team’s speed and quality of service.
- Presentation preparation :
- Draft, edit and proof‑read pitch books, market commentaries and client updates for internal and external distribution.
Studies
- Degree in Finance, Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering
Experience
Experience in financial markets and instruments desirable
Languages
- Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Technical
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. IA proficiency is a plus.
- Bloomberg knowledge would be viewed positively
