Fluor Plant Engineering office is part of the Energy Solutions Sustaining Capital Projects Business Line.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the regional team (Spain) in Home Office location at Tarragona.This position supports on assigned projects through the following Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review mechanical engineering deliverables such as specifications, datasheets, calculations, and drawings in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.

Support the development of piping and equipment layouts, ensuring compliance with safety, operability, and maintainability requirements.

Perform technical evaluations of vendor proposals and assist in procurement activities for mechanical equipment.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure integrated design solutions.

Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases, including resolution of field engineering queries.

Ensure adherence to company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP sessions as required.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the regional engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

10+ years of experience in mechanical design within industrial projects (oil & gas, chemical, energy, or similar sectors).

Proficiency in relevant engineering software.

Strong understanding of international codes and standards (ASME, API, EN).

Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Fluent in English and Spanish.

Availability for punctual business travel.
