With offices in Canada, Portugal, Spain and Sweden, we are continuously expanding, along with our team. Currently, we are recruiting a Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a strong academic background and up to 5 years of experience, looking to grow within the energy sector. You will provide essential legal support across the full project lifecycle, from permitting to execution, helping to ensure regulatory compliance and successful implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing the legal operations of a group of companies within an international organisation, including but not exclusively:
- Negotiate a wide range of global commercial transactions, from sales agreements to partnership deals, deeds and everything in between.
- Advise internal stakeholders regarding key issues and risks in our commercial contracts and ensure that our agreements reflect our high internal standards and guidelines.
- Engage with internal business clients to develop and enhance a streamlined, efficient, and scalable contracting process.
- Tackle anything else in the field that gets thrown your way as needed to support a fast-growing, dynamic, and innovative global company.
- You will be required to have flexibility and overlap in your working hours to accommodate meetings across global time zones.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills with the ability to manage and foster key stakeholder relationships and collaborate with teams across the business.
- Autonomy & concise decision-making skills
- An understanding and appreciation of privacy, data protection, information security and related issues - with demonstrated ability to negotiate agreements on these issues.
- Sound knowledge of Law and Legal system
- Razor sharp organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills in Portuguese & English (additional languages are a plus).
