Cluster Access Technology and Operations Lead leads the advancement of AI, digital tools, and operational capabilities across VMG Access. The role is accountable for translating access strategy into scalable technology-enabled solutions, including pricing automation, AI-assisted dossiers, Global Tender and Contracting (GTCS) changes, dashboards, and operational enablement. Operating with an international mindset, this role partners cross-functionally to drive efficiency, speed, insights, and compliance while enabling Access teams to perform at their best.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Access technology strategy by translating VMG Access priorities into a coherent roadmap for AI, automation, analytics, and operational tools that deliver measurable business value.
- Lead AI and automation initiatives across pricing, dossiers, and access processes, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, compliant, and embedded into ways of working.
- Shape and deliver GTCS-related technology changes impacting Access, acting as a key business interface to ensure continuity, readiness, and value realization.
- Enable data-driven decision-making through the design and governance of dashboards, performance metrics, and reporting that support strategic and operational insights.
- Partner cross-functionally with Access, Markets, Digital, BT, Data & Analytics, Finance, to align priorities and accelerate delivery.
- Embed operational excellence by standardizing processes, strengthening governance, and continuously improving tools and workflows across VMG Access.
- Provide functional leadership and enablement to Access stakeholders by driving adoption, change management, and capability-building around new technologies.
- Ensure compliance and risk management by aligning all solutions with internal controls, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS — MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital transformation, or technology-enabled business roles.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology, analytics, AI and automation solutions in a complex, regulated environment.
- Understanding of pricing, reimbursement, access evidence, or commercial operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence without authority, and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, visualization and programming skills, with the ability to translate complexity into actionable insights.
QUALIFICATIONS — NICE TO HAVE
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent).
- Experience with AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, pricing systems, or dossier platforms.
- Exposure to global access models, multi-country operations, or matrix organizations.
- Formal training or certification in project management, agile delivery, or change management.
- Fluency in additional European languages.

- External: Technology vendors, platform providers, and implementation partners (as applicable).

- Accountability for technology-enabled initiatives and operational budgets aligned to Access priorities.
