Your responsibilities
- Independently determine research strategy and design, plan and executive research studies for a product area.
- Operate cross-functionally, providing user research expertise and execution across products
- Inform product strategy and identify& evaluate new opportunities, solutions and concepts based on user needs
- Collaborate with product on defining “success” from qualitative and quantitative perspectives to ensure research is focused and closely tied to business goals
- Work closely with product teams to identify and prioritize research topics
- Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to generate actionable insights across the product development lifecycle, including up front generative research to identify new opportunities, iterative concept evaluation, and post-launch testing.
- Operate according to ethical standards and data privacy regulations necessary when interacting with healthcare providers and patients
- Conduct internal cross-functional workshops using design-thinking methodologies
- Present to a variety of audiences from product teams to executive teams
- Communicate and advocate for research findings in a way that inspire people to act
- Drive and recommend proactive broad-based research programs
- Work closely with product designers to make design recommendations based on research results and help drive those recommendations to reality
- Stay current with trends, best practices, and methodologies in areas of UX, user research and behavioral analytics
- Create holistic summary dashboards at a regular cadence for sharing with management teams
- Exhibit a high-level of expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple listening channels (e.g., usage metrics, surveys, usability testing, etc)
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in user research
- Can operate with a high degree of independence in ambiguous and complex situations and subject matters
- Experience working with Healthcare Provider and/or Patient-facing digital products
- Deeply skilled and experienced in user research activities across a variety of methodologies including focus groups, ethnography/field research, interviews, concept validation, in-lab usability testing, remote usability testing, card sorting, testing on mobile devices, surveys, workshop facilitation, etc.
- Analytically minded and very strong in data analysis, knowledge of statistical analysis, experience creating metrics dashboards
- High degree of creativity and problem solving from big picture to little details, you move nimbly between strategy and execution
- Excellent time-management and the ability to quickly prioritize tasks and work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly and effectively present work to all levels of management - negotiating and influencing to build consensus
- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
- A positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate and learn
- Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and you iterate quickly, incorporating feedback
- Experience working in an agile methodology environment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Cognitive Psychology or Experimental Psychology. Advanced degree preferred.
