About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Guest Services & Concierge Department, the Concierge Trainee supports the Concierge and Guest Services team while developing a comprehensive understanding of the department’s daily operations, procedures, and service standards.
The Concierge Trainee reports to the Head Concierge / Guest Services Manager.
As Concierge Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:
1.Welcome the clients of various sectors according to established procedure.
2. Be familiarized with the entire Hotel product and services that are offered including IT&T equipment.
3. Management of different guest’s requests (restaurant reservations, flight bookings, lost luggage, etc.)
4. Learn all the hotel and city information necessary in order to be able to answer guest’s questions.
5. Handle all kind of requests regarding restaurants, concerts, etc.
6. Understand the various reports needed on a daily basis (Alice Emergency report, arrival list, departure list, cancellations, Traces.. etc.)
7. Communicate with other departments.
8. Learn the IT system (Alice Concierge, Infor HMS Salto key system…)
9. Understand all the information given in the daily briefing 1
0. Handle guest complaints
11. Be knowledgeable of all outlets and special promotions
12. Be knowledgeable of all in-house events and functions as well as transportation and other public facilities 1
3. Address special guest preferences recorded in guest history profiles
14. Learn main tasks from other departments as Guest experience & Housekeeping.
