Our Retail Department for our office in Madris is looking for a
Retail Buying & Planner Merchandiser (f/m/d) (100%)
This position is hybrid, with 2 mandatory days at our office in Madrid.
It requires a willingness to travel 10% of the time (mostly to Portugal).
Your Responsibilities:
- Drive the brand and business strategy by buying / planning / recommending an optimal balanced collection covering the global brand strategy as well as Retail needs and opportunities in close collaboration with the responsible Head of Retail
- Adopt seasonal Wholesale Core Assortment to maximize structural sell-out, focus on key stories, ATL investments and support regional communality
- Assure the Retail assortment covers both commercial and branding aspects
- Manage and develop the Maps Dispo and in season assortment management process in close cooperation with Demand Planning, Head of Retail and Commercial Director
- Continuous tracking of buying decisions and processes to maximize turnover and gross profit
- Ensure optimal share of reorder and seasonal styles reflecting KPI targets
- Deliver input from sell out to Brand Management: e.g.: analyse performance of top and worst sellers to assure impact to future collection development. Identification of additional potential in regards of sizes, colors, styles
- Active participation and preparation of Range Meetings and Dispo Meetings
- In season Assortment Management: Returns, Mark downs, Assortment changes based on profound and detailed KPI analysis (BV, DOH, Stock, Sell through)
- Weekly Monitor Interfaces, orders, open orders, invoices, deliveries, allocations
- Responsible for month-closure Retail
- On a weekly basis reporting on performance across all stores looking specifically at stock levels and sales performance
- Pulling off performance of top ten and worst ten performing options making recommendations and taking appropriate actions in collaboration with the retail team
- Liasing with the RM and Supply Chain to ensure that stock flows regularly out to stores ensuring that key trading dates are potentialised ie Valentines, Christmas etc
- Area of responsibilities: own stores & FOC in Spain & Portugal
Your ideal profile:
- At least 3 years of experience as a planner or buyer in a related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar studies ("nice to have")
- Fluency in English and Spanish (both "must-have"), Portuguese ("nice to have")
- Solid knowledge of Excel and Pivot Tables is a "must-have"; knowledge of SAP is a "nice to have"
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- In-depth assortment knowledge and IT/controlling understanding
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills; proactive, self-motivated, logical, and objective
- Ability to understand customers’ needs within the organization
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time (mostly to Portugal)
