- Assists in translating the production plan into a mid-long term Material Requirements Plan, ensuring material availability based on forecasts.
- Maintains MRP parameters, consolidates cross-category needs, and addresses MRP exceptions aligned with the production plan.
- Collaborates with suppliers to support Rough Cut Capacity Planning for material requirements, balancing cost and supply needs.
- Assists in material inventory analysis, reviewing policies, tracking slow-movers, and managing obsoletes.
- Maintains manufacturing parameters to support material planning efficiency.
- Identifies and escalates material sourcing risks or opportunities to relevant internal or external stakeholders.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and performance.
- Ensures accurate material ordering in terms of quantity and timing, optimizing order size while minimizing obsoletes.
- Ability to do a 12 month internship.
- Bachelor or Master student in the field of industrial engineering, supply chain management or Business management
- Practical or international experience, e.g. by former internships or semester abroad, is beneficial
- Proficient level of MS Office, especially Excel and Digital Analytics (Power BI).
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Very good English language skills.
- German and any other European language is a plus
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication skills
