About the role:
As a Principal Technology Strategy Partner, you will launch, scope, and co-lead Strategy & Technology Roadmapping efforts. These efforts will be with Department (BU) partners and Corporate Strategy, ensuring roadmaps translate business demand into executable technology priorities. This is a full-time job.
You will report to the Strategy & Technology Roadmap Program Manager and be located at our HQ in Madrid. This is a hybrid position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Co-lead roadmap projects for R&D technology bricks, such as advanced materials, manufacturing, inspection, robotics, and sensors... These projects involve working with BU and AI&I partners. Additionally, maintain engagement with BU interface leads to understand evolving technology needs.
- Systematically collect and summarize BU pain points, VOC, market/operational gaps, and potential R&D technology brick use cases. This information will shape roadmap content and priorities. You will coordinate with AI Partners to ensure that adjacent AI–related needs are captured and routed to the right teams.
- Ensure agreement between business/market vision and technology actions by connecting BU/Corporate Strategy priorities to R&D and broader technology execution across Westinghouse.
- Develop measurable, outcome‑driven action plans co‑owned with BU leadership to complete strategic roadmap priorities, with clear success metrics, owners, dependencies, and decisions in consideration of WEC strategy.
- Support and strengthen a cross‑functional improvement network across Westinghouse, connecting BU leaders, chief engineers, R&D teams, AI&I pillars, and helping functions accelerate collaboration and reduce silos.
- Promote execution carefulness and follow‑through by tracking progress against roadmap commitments, Measurements and goals.
- Champion a culture of entrepreneurship and pioneer within the AI&I organization and Westinghouse globally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors required, Master of Science in a relevant discipline or MBA preferred (or other advanced degree) or on-hands experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering, project management, innovation management or teamwork
- Business leadership, experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
- Experience leading multiple technology development plans simultaneously.
- Comfort level with both technology roadmaps and financial reporting.
- Experience with technical, strategic, or commercial partnering development with third parties of multiple forms.
- Experience with business case development, pitch decks, product/market fit, and other innovation concepts.
- Work across organizational boundaries, comfort operating with assumed authority as opposed to organizational authority.
- Lead a globally dispersed workforce.

- Willingness to travel internationally to meet our needs.
