The Group IT Head is responsible for defining and executing the IT strategy for the Group, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term digital transformation goals. The role leads multiple IT functions, oversees technology governance, and ensures secure, scalable, and modern infrastructure and systems that support global operations.
This job profile is intended for senior managers that participate in mid to long‑term (3–5 years) strategy development for their business or functional area. Responsible for strategy execution and operational direction of a business or function. Works closely with group executive leadership concerning matters of strategic significance to the organization. Typically manages multiple teams.
As part of our transformation journey, Sulzer is seeking a strategic, dynamic, and hands-on IT Sales & Marketing leader who will drive critical initiatives such as the harmonization of global sales platforms. This role represents a key leadership position within one of the most business-critical IT domains, directly enabling commercial excellence and accelerating revenue growth by equipping sales teams with scalable, data-driven, and integrated capabilities aligned with Sulzer’s growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and successfully steer the consolidation, harmonization, and modernization of the global CRM landscape, including the full migration to Salesforce to significantly enhance sales excellence and performance.
Partner with Sales leadership, Marketing, Product Management, and divisional b usiness p artners to shape roadmaps and prioritize business demand.
Develop further a high-performance team : L ead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional, multicultural team of >10 IT professionals across several geographies , to continuously ensure successful implementation s and lifecycle of sales applications.
Own and evolve Sulzer’s global Sales IT application landscape including Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) tools, and engineering design tools for product selection and configuration.
Oversee system governance, user access, data security, and compliance with corporate IT and data privacy policies.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies driving innovation across all Sulzer divisions . This may include implementing new tools or technologies, upgrading existing systems, or exploring new solutions to more generate business value.
To succeed you need:
Experienced with Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, Tendering, Pricing, Product Configuration tools etc.
