As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for acting as the single, expert quality interface with suppliers, ensuring effective management of quality requirements, non-conformities, corrective action plans (NCR / 8D), and supplier performance across the supply chain. You will play a key role in reducing the impact of supplier quality issues on production, projects, and customers by proactively managing critical suppliers, coordinating quality incidents with Engineering and Production, and contributing to the continuous improvement and maturity of the supply base. This role requires strong analytical skills, clear communication, and a preventive, structured approach within a high-reliability aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
You will be engaged in all supplier quality assurance activities related to aerospace manufacturing projects, including but not limited to:

Ensure effective management of supplier quality requirements, acceptance criteria, and applicable quality documentation.

Act as the single point of contact with suppliers for quality claims, non-conformities, and corrective action plans (NCR / 8D).

Coordinate supplier quality incidents with Engineering and Production, assessing the need for technical changes or redefinition of specifications.

Monitor and analyze supplier quality performance through KPIs and trend analysis to proactively mitigate risks.

Participate in supplier qualification, audits, and periodic evaluations in collaboration with the Purchasing department.

Drive continuous improvement and preventive actions across the supply base, ensuring formal closure and full traceability of all actions.

Support decision-making regarding supplier continuity, escalation, penalties, and selection in collaboration with Purchasing and Engineering.

Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, contractual requirements, and aerospace regulations throughout the supply chain.
Education and Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Master’s degree or specialized training in Quality, Lean Manufacturing, or aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF 16949) is valued.

3 to 5 years of experience in supplier quality management within high-reliability industries (aerospace, new space, defense), including management of NCRs, 8D corrective action plans, and supplier audits.

Solid technical knowledge of critical manufacturing processes, interpretation of drawings and specifications, advanced materials, and supplier risk management

Experience coordinating with suppliers, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams, ensuring effective communication, traceability of issues, and closure of corrective actions

English proficiency (spoken and written) at an intermediate to advanced level, suitable for technical documentation and professional communication.
Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in the following areas:

Quality standards and management systems applicable to aerospace and industrial supply chains (AS9100, ISO 9001, ECSS, IATF 16949).

Interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria for manufactured parts and assemblies.

Supplier performance monitoring through KPIs, trend analysis, and risk assessment.

Planning and execution of supplier audits, qualifications, and follow-up actions.

Use of corporate quality and documentation tools (ERP, SAP, PLM, SharePoint or similar systems).
