An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Operations Manager – Oncology in our company. This position will play a crucial role in driving strategic analysis, financial management, collaboration, and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for providing accurate and strategic insights, monitoring budgets, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring commercial excellence within the unit.
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

Strategic Analysis & Forecasting: play a key role in the annual and multi‑year commercial planning processes for Oncology, leading analytical work, ensuring consistency across teams, and assessing multiple scenarios to support strategic decision‑making.

Performance Monitoring & Market Insights: lead end‑to‑end performance monitoring across public and private markets, owning monthly KPI tracking, proactively identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and translating insights into clear, data‑based recommendations in regular business reviews with senior stakeholders.

Private Market Commercial Offers: design and build annual commercial offers for key private groups, track performance vs. objectives, and proactively identify risks and opportunities to optimize impact and ensure delivery of agreed outcomes.

Financial & Expense Management: own the tracking and monitoring of promotional budgets and commercial expenses, ensuring accuracy, transparency and financial discipline, while providing guidance and training to teams as needed.

Advanced Data Analytics & Decision Support: drive high‑impact analytics initiatives using advanced analytical approaches to support business trends and insights, performance optimization, resource allocation and prioritization initiatives across the Oncology portfolio.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Governance: act as a strategic thought partner to cross‑functional leaders (Marketing, Sales, KAM, Finance, Market Access and Medical), actively contributing to the evolution and execution of key commercial governance processes such as incentives, segmentation and targeting.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced postgraduate education in business, strategy, or finance is preferred.

At least 3 years of experience in commercial strategy, planning, commercial excellence, or strategy & operations roles, ideally within pharma, healthcare, consulting or data‑driven environments.

Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to work with complex datasets, performance indicators and forecasts to generate meaningful business insights.

Ability to influence, challenge, and partner constructively with senior stakeholders in a complex, matrixed organization.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts and data into clear, concise messages for executive audiences.

High level of comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments, demonstrating resilience, problem‑solving, and sound judgment.

Fluent in Spanish and English, with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and commercial analytics tools, and experience using CRM and enterprise reporting systems.

Willingness to be based in Madrid and to undertake occasional domestic and international travel as required.
