VHIR is seeking a Higher Laboratory Technician to join the Gene Therapy for Nervous System Research Group. Our group focuses on the study of the molecular mechanisms involved in environment-related cognitive deficits and Alzheimer's disease, using animal models of Alzheimer's and of healthy aging to test new therapeutic proteins.
Bachelor degree in Biotechnology, in Biomedicine, or similar
Master in Bioinformatics or similar
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (professional proficiency)
Experience (minimum 3 year) in molecular biology and microbiology techniques (qPCR, mRNA and DNA extraction, maxipreps, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, etc).
Experience (minimum 1 years) in cell cultures and virology (cell passage and maintenance, in vitro studies, viral vector infections in cell cultures), etc.
Experience (minimum 1 year) in bioinformatic analysis for -omic data.
